OMSPatcher 13.9.4.1.0 is packaged as 13.9.4.0.0 on My Oracle Support

Today I needed to apply the Patch 31146297: Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 4 Update 2 (13.4.0.2) for Oracle Management Service.

This patch requires the OMS Patcher 13.9.4.1.0:

"Ensure that you have the latest version of OMSPatcher version 13.9.4.1.0 for Enterprise Manager 13.4.0.0.0 release."

When you go into the note 2646080.1 it states the obvious:

Download Patch 19999993 for EM 13.4.0.0.0 from My Oracle Support. Make sure the description of the patch reads version 13.9.4.1.0.

That's not really what happens:

But when you download it anyways, it is the correct one!

I opened a ticket with Oracle Support to get this correct, in the meantime, use the same zip file for the earlier version.

Yes! Oracle made more slots available for the Free Certification exams. I was able to book all of them, but the only slots available are in July. Still... that's a great deal, it is a savings of $1050!

Once inside the training website, click on the certification link and you'll be taken to the PearsonVue website.

Then go thru the booking, don't worry about the price, it will be discounted on the very last page.

1Z0-1085-20 - Oracle Foundations Associate Cloud Certification preparation video and free exam availability

I passed the 1Z0-1085-20 exam yesterday. It has been a big battle to get appointments at PearsonVUE as a lot of people are trying to take advantage of the free courses and free certifications during the COVID-19 pandemic. The problem is that Oracle has reached the maximum number of free certifications vouchers, therefore you can not find the free versions anymore.

According to Rohit Rahi, Oracle University is working to increase availability of exam times on PearsonVUE as well as adding more free vouchers.

As of this morning, you could find the "-F" version but no bookings. There's a message saying it will be in the future, but does not allow for scheduling.

Recent Changes to My Oracle Support Disable Enterprise Manager Online Connections

May the fourth be with you! Well... maybe not for your Oracle Enterprise Manager deployment.

Oracle released changes on the My Oracle Support portal and unfortunately broke the integration with MOS (My Oracle Support).

This is publised on the MOS Knowledge Base Note: Recent Changes to MOS will Disable Enterprise Manager Online Connections (Doc ID 2664002.1). There is a bug opened for this issue Bug 31294163: EM jobs fail with Invalid JSON Response from My Oracle Support. At this time, there's no ETA for a fix.

The workaround is to manually download the catalog and patches and do this work manually.
